BHI followed specifications set by General Electric and the Medical Center for the installation of the hospital’s incoming advanced technology: the GE PETtrace (Positron Emission Tomography) unit. This automated medical cyclotron is used to for molecular imaging, and requires a specialized concrete room to protect employees, patients and equipment.
