RPI is positioned as one of the nationwide leaders in engineering research. The Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies building is a stunning example of this commitment.
BHI performed all the foundation and masonry work on this 218,000 square foot structure with a brick exterior. BHI was also selected to build parking garages on campus, a challenge as historical foundations remained in some locations of the hillside campus high above the Hudson, and the job required extensive site work. No one would suspect that hidden below the parking structure is a huge concrete vault with 20’ thick concrete walls, which houses extensive mechanical and electrical services.
